India's healthcare system is facing a critical imbalance. Despite being designed to function across three tiers—primary, secondary, and tertiary—the system has defaulted to a tertiary-heavy model. Patients often bypass under-resourced primary health centers, traveling directly to tertiary care hospitals for conditions that could have been managed or prevented earlier.
This is compounded by India's growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). According to the World Health Organization, NCDs account for over 60% of all deaths in India. While there's common understanding that prevention and lifestyle changes can mitigate these risks, the gap between awareness and sustained action remains a major challenge.
We believe this is a behavioral problem that requires more than just information—it requires a structured, enabling environment to support lasting change.
